Bicycle Rentals & Repairs

If you love to bike ride, you are in luck. Whether you and your family enjoy a casual ride or something a bit more challenging, you'll find it on the Cape. If you haven't brought your own, there are several rental shops on the Outer Cape. If you did bring your own and you are either in need of repairs or equipment, you'll be able to find that too.  The Cape Cod Rail Trail features over 22 miles of trails from Dennis to Wellfleet. IMPORTANT: Massachusetts requires that all children under 16 years of age wear a helmet as either an operator or a passenger. Helmets must fit correctly and be approved by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Boat Rentals

On the Outer Cape, you can rent just about anything for fun on the water--from power boats and sailboats to kayaks, canoes, windsurfers, paddleboats and surfboards. Some outfits even offer instruction, equipment and guided tours.

Fishing Charters

What better way to fish than with a captain who knows all the best spots. Enjoy a day on the water with friends and family and bring home dinner! Charters vary in length, catch and what's included.  But they all provide equipment and clean your fish for you. All you have to do is grill it and enjoy!

Fishing Equipment/Bait and Tackle Shops

Maybe a charter isn't right for you and you are thinking about giving it ago on your own. The Outer Cape has several bait and tackle shops where you can pick up gear and bait, live bait too. Just remember, whether you live here or are just visiting, a fishing license is required for both fresh and saltwater fishing. (No license is required aboard a charter vessel.)

Golf Courses

The Cape is a golfer's delight--you can practically play all year-round! There are courses of all shapes and sizes, 9-holes, 18-holes, private, public and courses of varying degrees of difficulty. Courses dot the entire landscape of the Cape. Here are a few on and/or close to the Outer Cape.

Hiking and Walking

If you love the great outdoors, the Outer Cape is for you.  From the amazing trails that span the Cape Cod National Seashore, to the trails at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, you'll be able to enjoy hiking and walking varying distances and difficulties.

Movie Theaters

You'll find movie theaters here as you will everywhere. But we have something unique--one of the last existing drive-in theaters in the United States. Whether you remember drive-ins when they were in their heyday or it's your first time, you'll have a blast.

Playgrounds

If the kids need to blow off a little steam, take them to one of the Outer Cape's playgrounds. Truro's Puma Park was built in 2008 and features a lighthouse, a sea monster and a shark--loads of fun for the little landlubbers.

Tennis

There are several tennis clubs on the Outer Cape--perfect for keeping your game up to snuff during your vacation. Some are private, some public. Wellfleet has town courts across from Mayo Beach on Kendrick Ave. too.

Working Out/Yoga

Being on vacation is no excuse to get out of shape! There are several gyms and yoga studios on the Outer Cape that cater to visitors and offer daily and weekly rates so you can relax and stay fit!
